Creamy Mushrooms

PREPARATION TIME: 10 minutes    COOKING TIME: 6 minutes     SERVES: 4

lb. fresh button mushrooms

Tbsp. virgin olive oil

1 red onion, peeled and chopped

2 Tbsp. yogurt cheese

1/8 ts. chili powder

1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Wipe the mushrooms clean of surface dirt with a damp cloth and set aside.


This versatile dish can be served as an hors d'oeuvre, using toothpicks, as an appetizer, or as a side dish.

2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro

In a nonstick saucepan, heat the oil. Add the onion and saute for 3 minutes. Add the mushrooms and saute for 3 minutes, until soft. Add the yogurt cheese, chili powder, pepper, salt, and cilantro; stir well.


Creamy Mushrooms

Salt to taste

Serve hot.
